Telugu Desam Party (TDP) legislator from Tirupati, M. Venkatrmana, died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai. He was 67.

TDP sources said the member of Andhra Pradesh assembly from Tirupati was suffering from heart and kidney related ailments.

He was admitted to a hospital in Tirupati last month but was shifted to Chennai last week.

Venkatramna had crossed over from Congress before assembly elections in May this year and was elected on TDP ticket.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu, YSR Congress chief Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy and leaders of other parties condoled his death.
