Anirudh Pathak bringing 'huge show' in mythological genre

Anirudh Pathak, creator and producer of "Dastaan-e-Mohabbat: Salim Anarkali", will venture into the digital space with a "huge" mythological show.

The show will be for Eros Now, the digital over-the-top South Asian entertainment platform of Eros International.

"I am bringing a huge show in mythological genre for Eros Now. You can say that it will be the 'father of all mythological shows'," Pathak told IANS.

He is known for his work in TV shows like "Chandrashekhar" and "Prithvi Vallabh".

Would he eventually like to make a mythological or historical movie?

"I would love to do that. It will be a dream come true. If I happen to make my first movie on mythology, it has to be on Mahadev only," he said.

It's not just this genre that he likes to work on.

"I like to attempt each and every thing. What I do not want to touch upon is the typical 'saas bahu' drama. That is not my area of interest. I really want to make a political thriller drama show.

"I want to make a show on police, army. I assure that we will explore more fronts apart from history and mythology. We will do something which has value and meaning to the story," he said.
