Ankita Lokhande resumes shooting for 'Pavitra Rishta'

Rumour had it that the character of Archana was getting a new face on "Pavitra Rishta", but it is now confirmed that actress Ankita Lokhande, original face of the character, has resumed shooting for the show.

There were speculations that actresses Shilpa Saklani and Gautami Kapoor were being considered to play Archana.

The actress, who will be seen on the show after a break of three months, said that she is grateful to Ekta Kapoor and her team who allowed her to take the break.

"Yes, I had indeed taken a break as I wanted to spend some quality time with Sushant (Singh Rajput) and my family. These three months have been a refreshing change of pace," Ankita said in a statement.

"Now that the show has completed 1,000 episodes, and my request for a much deserved break has been suitably accommodated, I'm back for the second innings on the show. I look forward to an equally enthusiastic response from my fans," she added.

For the last few months, Ankita's character, Archana was shown to be in a coma and doctors are trying their best to bring her out of it.
