Live updates for the 35th National Games to be held here Jan 31-Feb 14, 2015, will be readily available with the introduction of a 'Games Information App'.
As Games near, the National Games Secretariat (NGS) took a plunge into the virtual world by introducing a 'Games Information App' and a 'Virtual Torch'.
'The Games Information App' will provide sports enthusiasts with live results, venue details, events, medal tally and more.
NGS has invited tenders from companies established in this arena to develop these apps.
These apps will be available in Android version and from January onwards sports lovers would be able to download/install it free of cost.
The NGOC is planning a worldwide release of the app. An SMS alert facility is also being developed in relation with the Games.
The apps will get updated along with the Games official website www.kerala2015.com.
To keep abreast with the times, the NSG has also initiated to develop a 'Virtual torch App'. This app will be available at the 'PLAY STORE' form Dec 12, 2014.
