Arihant, Ashiana combine for Chennai housing project

City-based real estate developer Arihant group has roped in another listed real estate developer Ashiana Housing Ltd. to develop, market and maintain its senior housing project planned near here, officials said.

"We are partnering with Arihant in the senior citizen housing project. We will provide our expertise in this space in construction, marketing and maintenance of the property," Ankur Gupta, joint managing director of Ashiana Housing, told reporters here on Saturday.

According to him, Arihant group owns the land parcel on which the 800 unit multi-phased project will come up.

Gupta said in the first phase around 280 units would be built and would be ready in two-and-half years time.

He said the project would consist of one/two or three bedroom units measuring between 600-1,300 square feet.

According to Bharat Jain, director of Arihant Foundations and Housing Ltd., the project will be near Mahindra World City.
