English club Arsenal has confirmed that their midfielder Jack Wilshere will be out of action for three months because of an ankle surgery.

The England midfielder sustained ligament damage to his left ankle in Saturday's home Premier League loss to Manchester United and had a successful operation Thursday, reports Xinhua.

The club estimates that Wilshere will be out for three months, adding to an injury list that already included Wojciech Szczesny (hip), David Ospina (thigh), Mesut Ozil (knee), Mathieu Debuchy (ankle), Theo Walcott (groin), Abou Diaby (calf) and Daniel Welbeck (hamstrng).
