Newly-elected city Mayor Asha Sharma on Tuesday took oath along with her team of over 100 councillors in the newly-constituted municipal body of Ghaziabad city.
Divisional Commissioner Prabhat Kumar administered the oath of office to Sharma, while the new Mayor administered the oath to the 100 councillors at a function held in the Ramlila Ground.
Minister of State for External Affairs General (Rtd) V.K. Singh was chief guest at the function.
The new civic body contains 57 Bharatiya Janata Party, 15 Congress, 13 Bahujan Samaj Party, five Samajwadi Party and 13 Independent councillors.
