The World No.21 German pair of Peter Kaesbauer and Isabel Herttrich came from behind after losing the first game 19-21 to win the next two 21-14, 21-19.
Earlier H.S. Prannoy and Sourabh Verma failed to reach the men's singles main draw after going down in their respective second rounds of the qualifiers at the hands of local players.
While Alamsyah Yunus beat Prannoy 22-20, 22-20 in 46 minutes, Wisnu Yuli Prasetyo defeated Verma 21-13, 19-21, 21-16 in 59 minutes to proceed to the main draw.
Both the Indians had won their respective first round matches in the qualifiers.
