At least eight people were killed in a shooting attack in the eastern Czech Republic town of Uhersky Brod on Tuesday, according to media reports.
An armed man burst into a restaurant and opened fire, BBC reported, citing Czech media. Some 20 people were thought to have been in the restaurant at the time and eight of them were reportedly killed.
The condition of the gunman was unconfirmed, but a police spokesman said the suspect had "already been subdued".
This was the third shooting attack on major European cities in the last two months.
Last month, 20 people, including three gunmen were killed in terrorist attacks in the French capital Paris and earlier this month, a gunman killed two people in the Danish capital Copenhagen, before being shot dead by the police.
In both those cities, the attackers targeted, among others, people who had courted controversy for objectionable portrayals of the Prophet Muhammad.
