Defending champions Atletico de Kolkata's marquee player Helder Postiga could miss the remaining matches of the Indian Super League (ISL) as he was still not match-fit and not making much improvement either, team coach Antonio Habas said here on Thursday,
Speaking at the customary media meet on the eve of the crucial tie against FC Pune City, Habas said the Portuguese world-cupper was not in a position to take the field now, despite training with the team.
"Postiga is training with the team, but he is still not match fit, He is still not fit enough to take the field. Now he is not available for ISL. Nor is he making much improvement on his fitness," said Habas.
Postiga scored a brace in ATK's 3-2 win in the tournament opener against Chennaiyin FC, before he was stretchered off the field in the second session for a hamstring injury. He recuperated in Portugal and Spain and then joined the squad earlier this month. However, he has not played any game since his return.
The Spanish tactician said his aim was to pick up full points from each of the remaining matches.
"I'm not thinking about the future. For me, three points are very important. If we can log three points in all the games, then goal difference will not matter much," he said.
