Atletico Mineiro rose to fourth in Brazil's Serie A standings after Flamengo's 4-0 rout.
Luan struck either side of halftime while Brazil international forward Diego Tardelli and Dodo were also on target at Belo Horizonte's Independencia stadium Wednesday, reported Xinhua.
Atletico now have 61 points with three matches remaining, one point ahead of Internacional and Gremio. Flamengo are 10th with 47 points.
