Nine persons of a gang allegedly involved in ATM robberies were arrested in West Bengal's Hoogly district on Sunday. Arms and ammunitions were seized from them, police said.
"We have arrested nine persons of a gang that was involved in multiple cases of ATM robbery. It seems the miscreants had gathered near Rishra's Pachloki area (in Hoogly) for looting another ATM," a police officer told IANS.
"Pipe guns, cartridges, four choppers, chloroform and acid for melting metal have been recovered from them," he said.
