Pawan Kalyan-starrer Telugu action-drama "Attarintiki Daaredhi", which has turned out to be a blockbuster nationwide, has collected Rs.9.53 crore in its opening weekend in the US, according to a trade analyst.
"'Attarintiki Daaredhi' has created history in the US, smashing all previous records and setting new ones. (It) features in top 15 grossers this weekend. It collects Rs.9.53 in its opening weekend," posted trade analyst Taran Adarsh on his Twitter page.
"What most Hindi films don't collect in entire lifetime from overseas, 'Attarintiki Daaredhi' has collected in three days flat from US alone. The glorious (business) in US will prove to be an eye-opener for not just Telugu film industry, but for Hindi industry too," he further tweeted.
Directed by Trivikram, the movie also features Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Pranitha in the lead. It released worldwide Sep 27
In its opening weekend, the film collected over Rs.30 crore all over and it is fast racing towards the Rs.50 crore-mark.
