Australia depart for Perth Sunday

The Australian cricket team will travel to Perth Sunday ahead of their cricket World Cup Pool A match against Afghanistan Wednesday at the WACA.

While Sunday will be spent in travel, hosts Australia will hold an optional training session Monday and will definitely practice Tuesday, said a Cricket Australia statement.

Australia lost their high profile clash against New Zealand by only one wicket at the Eden Park here Saturday.
