Nitya Mehra, who has worked on some Hollywood titles as well as Bollywood films, is exhilarated ahead of the release of her directorial debut "Baar Baar Dekho". She says it's been a joyride.
Having assisted Hollywood director Ang Lee in "Life of Pi" and Mira Nair in "The Reluctant Fundamentalist", Nitya was also an assistant director to Farhan Akhtar for movies like "Lakshya" and "Don: The Chase Begins".
She has assisted Farhan for a decade, and it's been a period of learning for her.
"It's been exciting, nerve wracking and a great learning. I had immense support from an extremely passionate crew and actors that pampered me and my vision for this film.
"But right now I feel like I'm running against time... But we shall know when September 9 arrives. I think life is pretty much like a roller-coaster and this film has been one fabulous ride," Mehra said in a statement.
The movie is also special to her because it is being produced by Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment as well as Dharma Productions.
"Baar Baar Dekho" is a romantic drama film starring Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. It is a love story which unfolds through intermittent flashbacks.
