Bajrang Dal Monday accused the Agra administration of sheltering illegal Bangladeshi migrants in the district.
Besides, the group questioned the working of Catholic organisations in the district's Etmadpur area, where scores of people have allegedly been converted to Christianity on promise of job, higher education and a better life.
"For months this (conversion) has been going on in the area and now villagers on their own are coming forward to expose the (Catholic) missionaries," Bajrang Dal leader Premendra Jain told IANS.
His comment came in the wake of allegation that a total of 57 Muslim families were converted to Hinduism early this month by members of Hindutva organisations in Agra's Ved Nagar area.
Jain said: "The district administration is now totally exposed as it was sheltering Bangladeshis. Many have now left Agra. After the Ved Nagar incident, they fled from Fatehabad, Shamshabad and several other areas where they had set up base as rag-pickers."
The Hindutva groups, meanwhile, submitted memoranda to the district administration to take strict action against those illegally staying in Agra.
Main accused in the Ved Nagar conversion row Nand Kishore Balmiki was behind bars but no headway was made in the case with the fresh controversy over the Bangladeshi migrant issue.
