The ever-so-cheerful Bappi Lahiri turned teary-eyed on the sets of popular music reality show "Indian Idol Junior" when a young contestant sang the number "Aao tumhe chand pe le". He was so moved that he decided to gift young Sugandha a gold chain.

The veteran composer-singer, known for his love for gold ornaments, was on the sets of the show for an evening dedicated to him.

After some electrifying performances from the contestants, Sugandha took to the stage and sang "Aao tumhe chand pe le", which moved Bappi da so much that he could not hold back his tears.

"I am so moved by your performance that I cannot express it in words. As a token of appreciation I will send you a gold chain during the next episode," he said on the show, informed a source.

Judges Vishal and Shekhar too became emotional, while Sugandha smiled ear to ear after getting a positive response.

New family to spice up 'Parvarrish'?

TV show "Parvarrish-Kuchh Khattee Kuch Meethi" was reportedly going off air, but now a new family is set to enter the show. Actors Balwinder Singh Suri and Kishwar Merchant will be new additions to the cast.

"Parvarrish" took a two-year leap recently, and it seems the channel is trying to make all ends meet to regain the viewership for the show.

Balwinder, who essayed Shah Rukh Khan's friend in "Dil To Pagal Hai", will be seen as Joginder in the show, while Kishwar will play Pammi. Together, they will play parents to a son named Tejinder aka TJ. An actor named Chaitanya will play the part.

The story of the show, which is about challenges of parenting, revolves around two families - the Ahujas and Ahluwalias, who are related to each other. Popular actresses Shweta Tiwari and Rupali Ganguly were earlier a part of the show.

Avika stumps Siddhu!

Young actress Avika Gor, who stunned audiences with her talent when she played Anandi in "Balika Vadhu", recently left former cricketer Navjot Singh Siddhu stumped with her persona.

Avika, now seen as Roli in "Sasural Simar Ka", made an appearance on Colors' show "Comedy Nights with Kapil". Her spontaneous responses to Kapil's jokes and witty retorts to all his leg-pulling gimmicks floored Siddhu.

"Agar woh is umar mein hi itni talented aur smart hai, toh badi hokar toh pataaka ban jaaegi (If she is so talented and smart at such a young age, she will do wonders when she grows up)! I think everyone in the industry should watch out for her," Siddhu was heard saying while on the show, said a source.

Avika is all of 16, but she is already counted among the top actresses on the Indian small screen.
