Several Bar Associations in Haryana suspended work on Monday to protest against the attack on a judge's wife and son which left the woman dead and the teen battling for life in a hospital.
The Gurugram Bar Association, the largest in Haryana with over 5,600 members, kept work suspended for the day.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Krishan Kant's wife Ritu (38), who was shot at by her husband's security guard on Saturday, died that night due to excessive bleeding. Their 18-year-old son Dhruv has been declared "brain dead".
The killer, a Haryana Police Constable attached with the judge, has been arrested.
