Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale said Basel posed enough threats after Real won over the Swiss club 1-0 in the Champions League Wednesday night.
"Basel are still battling to qualify, still fighting. You have seen teams come here and struggle. They made life difficult for us, but thankfully we got the win. I think we're looking good at the moment. But the most important thing is not to get carried away, take each game as it comes, and try and perform the best we can," Bale was quoted as saying by Xinhua.
"The most important thing was the three points. We knew it was a difficult place to come and win. But we were professional about it and got another win. We want to finish top of everything. We came into the game with our usual mentality."
Real have qualified for the knockout stage and shall take on Ludogorets Razgrad of Bulgaria Dec 9.
