Salman Yusuff Khan, who has made a surprise entry in "Fear Factor Khatron ke Khiladi Darr ka Blockbuster Returns" as a "challenger", says his experience as a dancer helped him perform daredevil stunts better in the action adventure reality TV show.
Having accepted the challenge to be challenger, Salman had to walk a very thin line between showing off and under-performing.
"I could neither over-do nor under-do my stunts. I had to be calm and poised throughout. It was a challenge. My experience as a dancer helped me perform the intricate stunts," he said.
Salman didn't have to be convinced a lot to be part of the show.
"Being an adrenaline junkie I didn't have to be asked twice to do it. I just plunged into it," he added.
In the meantime, Salman is busy preparing for his big screen debut as a leading man in his mentor Remo D'Souza's film "ABCD 2", a sequel to his "ABCD: AnyBody Can Dance".
Apparently, Salman was instructed by his mentor to quit television altogether for his new avatar as a movie star. But Salman's movie debut was taking a little longer than expected.
So, Salman decided to come on board on "Khatron Ke Khiladi..." as a challenger.
Explaining his decision to join the show, Salman said: "Firstly, it's not like I am a normal contestant on the show. Being a challenger meant I had to perform my stunts better than the contestants. That was easier said than done, since I didn't know who the contestants were going to be and when I did get to know who they were, I realised they were all good."
The show airs on channel Colors.
