Belarusian football club BATE defeated Armenian outfit Alashkert 3-1 to make their way to the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League.

After last week's 1-1 draw at home, the Belarusian team on Tuesday won this game in Yerevan, capital of Armenia, and went further in the European tournament, reports Xinhua news agency.

Alashkert started the match out by winning the first goal of the game, which was scored by Serbian player Uros Nenadovich.

After that, BATE players began a decisive attack. In five minutes, Mikhail Gordeychuk scored through a beautiful shot from a long distance. In the 35th minute of the match, Gordeychuk sent the second ball into the gate of the Armenian team. Maxim Volodko scored the third and final goal in the 78th minute.

BATE will play Prague outfit Slavia in the next round.
