Belgium headquartered logistics group Ahlers has decided to focus on storage solutions for specialty chemicals in India and Europe, a company official said here Wednesday.
"We have decided to focus on offering storage solutions for specialty chemicals sector in India and in the Europe. Many Indian companies have shown interest in exporting chemicals to Europe. Similarly, we will target companies that are exporting chemicals to India," company's executive chairman Christian Leysen told media here.
He said the company has warehouses for chemicals where it also does packing and repacking for its clients.
Leysen said the $275 million turnover group is talking to Indian chemical companies wanting to export to Europe.
He said the company is also looking at African markets where many Indian companies are present now.
In India, Ahlers is looking at Maharashtra and Gujarat belt to locate its warehouses for specialty chemicals, said Pradeep Joseph, managing director, Ahlers India.
Joseph said Ahlers is also focused on growing its project shipments to Commonwealth of Independent States (former Soviet Union countries) and Africa.
He said the Indian company's turnover is Rs.110 crore and hopes to double the turnover by 2018.
