Belgium mission keeps flag at half mast in Vajpayee's honour
The Belgium Embassy here kept its flag at half mast on Friday in the honour of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who passed away on Thursday.
"The flag at the Embassy of Belgium flies half-mast as a mark of respect to the great statesman, Shri #AtalBihariVajpayee Ji. #AtaljiAmarRahen," the mission said on its Twitter handle.
Belgium's capital Brussels serves as the headquarters of the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO).
Vajpayee, 93, passed away after a prolonged illness at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences here on Thursday evening.
