Benfica beats Braga, edge closer to league title

Benfica beat Braga 1-0 in the 25th round of the Portuguese league, opening a seven-point lead at the top of the standings.

Lima scored the only the goal of the match in the 13th minute following a pass by Rodrigo Moreno Sunday night, reports Xinhua.

In another match Porto, in the third place, were beaten by Nacional 1-2 to remain 15 points behind Benfica.

Also Sunday, Arouca beat Setubal 1-0, Academica beat Olhanense 2-1 and Rio Ave beat Estoril 1-0. Gil Vicente held Maritimo to a 1-1 draw.
