A newly-wed woman allegedly committed suicide at her in-law's house in the city only two days after getting married, police said on Thursday.
"The body of the woman was found hanging at her in-law's house in Noapara in the city's northern suburbs on Wednesday night," an officer from the Noapara Police Station said.
The in-laws said she committed suicide after a tiff with her sister-in-law when she accidentally broke a flower vase.
The couple got married last Tuesday and had their bridal feast ceremony scheduled for Thursday.
"The husband and father-in-law of the deceased have been brought for questioning. We will interrogate the rest of the members of the family, too, if necessary," the police officer said.
