West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday said the state ranks No.1 in the country in the rural job guarantee scheme for financial year 2015-16, as per a central government announcement.
"We are No.1 in the country in 100-days work on convergence and livelihood augmentation for financial year 2015-16, as per announcement of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India yesterday," Banerjee said in a Facebook post.
The Trinamool Congress supremo added: "Also among the districts in the country for awards under various categories of 100-days work are our Nadia and Coochbehar districts."
