The Bengal government has assigned West Bengal Electronic Industry Development Corporation Ltd (WEBEL) to develop the design and implementation of e-services for e-filing under the Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Act, 1976, an official statement said on Monday.
"It is expected that the trial version will be ready within six months," a statement said.
The Urban Development Department has decided to implement e-filing for services relating to statement filing and issuance of no objection certificate by competent authorities under the Act.
"The introduction of e-filing under the ULC Act will give speedy and transparent online services to the applicants. They can avail services from their home, office or local kiosks," the statement said.
