Singer Justin Bieber was only allowed to enter the US after his private jet was stopped for several hours while authorities searched the aircraft with sniffer dogs at the Teterboro Airport here.
The 19-year-old was travelling from Canada in his jet with his father and several other people, reports contactmusic.com.
Bieber was charged with assaulting a limo driver in Canada two days ago.
The authorities detected an odour of marijuana upon arrival. They boarded the aircraft with sniffer dogs and began searching for any illegal substances.
They did not find any illegal substances. However all the passengers on the plane were escorted to a holding area for questioning before being allowed to leave the airport.
