A police constable was among three people arrested on Thursday for the kidnapping of a travel agent in the Bihar capital, an official said.
"Deepak Kumar, a constable posted at the Sachivalya police station here, was arrested in connection with the kidnapping of travel agent Sunil Kumar on June 6," district police official Imtiyaz Ahmad said.
The abductors had demanded a ransom of Rs.5 lakh from Sunil Kumar's family.
During investigation, three people including the constable were identified as the accused.
Police on Thursday rescued the kidnapped man after the constable confessed to the crime. Constable Deepak Kumar has now been suspended.
