A patient has died of H7N9 bird flu in China's eastern province of Zhejiang, health authorities said on Tuesday.
The death was reported on January 8 in Keqiao district of Shaoxing city, according to Xinhua news agency. Authorities did not disclose further information.
H7N9 is a bird flu strain first reported to have infected humans in March 2013 in China. It is most likely to strike in winter and spring.
Two other H7N9 patients, including one who is said to be critically ill, were reported in Ningbo city of Zhejiang province.
