Promising sops for people if it comes to power in Haryana, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Thursday urged the electorate in the state to give it a clear mandate in the Oct 15 assembly elections.
Releasing its manifesto for the assembly polls, the BJP, which is targetting coming to power on its own for the first time in the state, offered to provide food grain to below poverty line families at Re.1 per kg.
It also offered free medical treatment to poor people, free travel for the girl students and hike in old age pensions.
Senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and state leaders released the manifesto which also promised to usher a development roadmap for all areas of the state if the party came to power.
