At least ten people were killed and several others injured in an explosion at a Shia mosque in Kuwait City during Friday prayers, media reported.

Al Jazeera news network reported that there was an explosion at the Al-Sadeq Shia mosque in Kuwait City during Friday prayers and at least three people had died.

Emergency services were attending to the wounded at the scene which was surrounded by clouds of black smoke and crowds of people milling around.
