Blast kills intelligence official in Yemen

A senior Yemeni intelligence official was killed Sunday when a bomb under his car exploded in Sanaa, a security official said.

Ali Fadhil, an official of a political security agency, was killed and his friend was severely injured when an improvised-explosive device went off near the oil and minerals ministry building, the official told Xinhua.

A passer-by was also injured in the blast, said the official.
