Indian star Rohan Bopanna and his Uruguayan partner Pablo Cuevas have entered the men's doubles quarter-finals at the Monte Carlo Masters tennis tournament following a hard fought three-set win over fifth seeds Raven Klaasen and Rajeev Ram here.
The Indo-Uruguayan combination lost the first set before staging a comeback to script a 6-7(6), 6-4, 10-6 win over the South African-American pair in a second round match that lasted around one hour and 33 minutes at the Monte Carlo Country Club here on Thursday night.
Bopanna and Cuevas are expected to face a tough challenge in the last eight stage as they will be up against top seeds Henri Kontinen of Finland and Australia's John Peers.
Kontinen and Peers defeated the formidable Serbian team of Novak Djokovic and Viktor Troicki 6-3, 6-4 in their second round clash.
