A five-year-old boy has died after being mauled to death by a pack of stray dogs in a Himachal Pradesh village, police said on Saturday.
The boy named Vicky, the son of a migrant labourer from Uttar Pradesh, was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
According to police, the boy was attacked by the dogs in Amarkot village in Paonta Sahib sub division in Sirmaur district.
It's unclear what made the dog attack the boy.
The local administration has granted an ex-gratia of Rs 20,000 to the bereaved family.
