Brad Pitt married lunatic: Chelsea Handler

Comedian Chelsea Handler has slammed actress Angelina Jolie in the wake of her split from actor Brad Pitt.

Talking about Jolie and Pitt's divorce, Handler did not hold back in a scathing monologue on her series "Chelsea" and branded Jolie a "lunatic", reports ew.com.

"Brad and Angelina always said they wouldn't get married until everyone could get married," said Handler, who is friends with Pitt's former wife and actress Jennifer Aniston.

"And I always said I wouldn't get married until they got divorced, so I'm officially accepting proposals. I'm ready," she added.

There has been ample gossip about the reasons for the split, and Handler says she is not surprised about it at all.

"There are rumours that part of the problem was that Brad was allegedly drinking and smoking too much weed. I wonder why he would need to self-medicate," she said.

"Maybe because he could have been spending the last 12 years at Lake Como hanging out with George Clooney and Matt Damon, instead of being stuck in a house with 85 kids speaking 15 different languages. Oh yeah, because he married a f*****g lunatic, that's why," she added.

It emerged on Tuesday that Jolie had filed for divorce from Pitt, her husband of two years, on September 15. They raised six children together.
