Actor Parag Tyagi will be seen in the role of a ferocious monster in TV show "Brahmarakshas - Jaag Utha Shaitaan", and he is excited about how it will add to his portfolio.
Parag has no qualms about having taken on a character that has an evil and demonic edge to it as he feels such roles are more challenging.
"The role required not only a well-built body, but also a persona that intimidates. After playing the good brother in 'Pavitra Rishta', I realised that playing such a part would only add to my versatility and demonstrate a very different aspect of my histrionic ability to the audiences," Parag said in a statement.
He also believes "television offers great scope for impactful, negative roles".
"The role in 'Brahmarakshas' is not entirely negative, it has certain positive shades too," the actor said.
Talking about his elaborate make-up, Parag said: "I'm very excited to play the title role of the show. They have done a lot of research to create the Brahmarakshas look."
"The amount of effort that goes into getting my look right is enormous. They have wisely selected make-up that allows me to emote without too many restrictions."
The Zee TV show narrates the story of Raina and Rishabh who go to Kamalpura to attend a wedding and in an encounter with the Brahmarakshas, end up losing someone dear to them. They, then, decide to join forces so that they can take the Brahmarakshas down.
