The BSF on Tuesday damaged several Pakistan Rangers posts along the International Border (IB) in a "befitting reply" to fresh ceasefire violations earlier in the day by the Pakistani side that left seven civilians dead in Jammu and Kashmir.
"In the wake of the fresh ceasefire violations by Pakistan Rangers at several places in Jammu and Kashmir, we gave them a befitting reply and damaged several of their posts," Border Security Force spokesperson Subhendu Bhardwaj told IANS.
Seven civilians, among them five women, were killed and 15 others were injured as Pakistan troopers bombarded several areas of Jammu and Kashmir with heavy mortar shells early on Tuesday.
