Six men robbed a 50-year-old businessman at gunpoint in north Delhi, police said Sunday. One of the accused has been arrested.
Satbeer Singh, an electronics shop owner and his son Rajesh, 22, were going home on a motorcycle when they were intercepted by six men on three motorcycles at Geeta Colony flyover in Kotwali area Saturday late night, a police officer said.
One of the men pointed a gun at Satbeer and asked for a bag he was carrying, which contained cash. Rajesh pushed the attacker, who fell down. Another assailant fired in the air and snatched the bag.
After they fled, the assailant who had been pushed was overpowered by passers-by and handed over to police.
Police said the accused has been identified as Shahnawaz. A hunt is on to nab his accomplices.
