The union cabinet Friday gave its nod to upgrade a highway project in Rajasthan under the National Highways Development Programme (NHDP) phase IV with a total outlay of Rs.774.33 crore.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved the widening of the Uniara-Nainwa-Hindoli-Jahajpur-Shahpura-Gulabpura section of National Highway (NH) 148D on engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis.
The total length of the road will be 204 km.
"The project will expedite improvement of infrastructure in Rajasthan and also reduce the time and cost of travel, particularly for heavy traffic," the CCEA said in a statement.
