The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday approved the signing of Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) between India and Japan on the "Technical Intern Training Programme" (TITP).
This agreement is expected to be signed during the forthcoming visit of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to Tokyo between October 16 and 18.
The Technical Intern Training Programme (TITP) is an ambitious program to send Indian technical interns to Japan for on the job training for a period of three to five years, an official statement said, adding that it is expected to pave the way for bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the area of skill development.
