Reality TV star Caitlyn Jenner, singer Britney Spears and other celebrities went purple for Spirit Day to show their support to LGBT youth and take a stand against bullying.

They took to various social media platforms to stand up against bullying and support LGBT youth, reports aceshowbiz.com.

Jenner posted on Twitter a picture of her holding a piece of paper with the words: "I Took the Pledge(.) Now It's Your Turn."

"I just took the @glaad #SpiritDay pledge to stand up against bullying," she captioned the image.

She then posted a picture of her showing purple manicure in support of the cause.

"I'm joining @glaad and taking a stand against bullying for #SpiritDay!" read the caption.

Spears, meanwhile, appeared in a YouTube video posted by GLAAD, the organization which initiated the idea of Spirit Day.

The "Pretty girls" singer dyed her rainbow hair purple.

"On October 15th, I'll be going purple to take a stand against bullying and support LGBT youth," she said in the video.

Actress Ellen Page also joined Jenner and Spears to support the cause. She took to Instagram to share a picture of her wearing a purple T-shirt.

"Post surf #spiritday #lgbtq," she captioned the image.
