Spain's World No. 11 tennis player Pablo Carreno Busta stormed into the Estoril Open quarterfinals, beating Argentine Nicolas Kicker, while the tournament's top seed South African Kevin Anderson lost to the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Carreno, who won last year's Estoril Open, beat Kicker in two sets, 6-1 and 7-5, in a game that lasted an hour and a half here on Thursday, reports Efe.
Tsitsipas surprised the court as he crushed Anderson in three sets, 6-7 (3), 6-3 and 6-3, in two hours and 15 minutes.
Tsitsipas will face Spaniard Roberto Carballes in the quarterfinals, who moved on to the next round after beating Briton Cameron Norrie 5-7, 6-2, 7-6 (1).
Carreno on Saturday will confront Chilean Nicolas Jarry, who won against Spaniard Ricardo Ojeda 6-3 and 7 (8) -6 (6).
