CBI arrests income tax official for bribery

A joint commissioner posted with Mumbai's Income Tax department was on Friday arrested for allegedly demanding Rs.5 lakh as bribe, the CBI said.

The Central Bureau of Investigation arrested S.K. Jhangre from his Mumbai office, a CBI official said. The accused will be produced in a Mumbai court.
