RP-Sanjiv Goenka group owned electricity maker and supplier CESC Ltd Thursday said its net profit for the quarter ended Dec 31 rose by 3.7 percent to Rs.111 crore against Rs.107 crore for the corresponding timeframe last year.
Net sales for the company for the quarter under review was Rs.1,236 crore compared to Rs. 1,186 crore earned during the same quarter last fiscal.
The company said its 65-year-old 100 MW New Cossipore electricity plant had permanently ceased to generate power during the quarter.
