Chandigarh has got its first daily international connection with the first Chandigarh-Dubai flight becoming operational on Monday.
The Indigo Airlines Chandigarh-Dubai flight left the Chandigarh International Airport on Monday evening.
The flight to Dubai will take around three hours and 30 minutes.
The inaugural offer for the flight was priced at Rs 9,999 for a return journey.
This is the second international flight from Chandigarh. The first flight from Chandigarh linked it to Sharjah in United Arab Emirates (UAE) on September 15. The Air India Express flight to Sharjah operates thrice a week.
The Chandigarh airport is connected to Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Srinagar through direct flights.
