Actress Sandhya Mridul, who will be seen on the silver screen in filmmaker Pan Nalin's "Angry Indian Goddesses", believes that the word "angry" in the title is appropriate as the film strives to bring a change and change comes from anger.

Sandhya believes it is this emotion which can be used like a seed to bring in some change in society.

"Every freedom fighter has been angry, which is why they have gone, fought and created change. So, angry is a damn good word. That is where change comes from," Sandhya said during a visit to the IANS office here with the cast and director of the film.

"Through the film we are trying to show that these women are not going to just lie down and take whatever comes. You are going to make change, not going to attack people. So through that, anger makes a change," she added.

"Angry Indian Goddesses" follows the stories of seven girls. It narrates the tale of how Frieda, essayed by actress Sarah-Jane Dias, who invites her closest girl friends to Goa to announce her wedding, and it all turns into a wild bachelorette party.

The film also features actresses Tannishtha Chatterjee, Anushka Manchanda, Amrit Maghera, Rajshri Deshpande and Pavleen Gujral.

It will release on Friday along with Vishal Pandya's erotic thriller "Hate Story 3".
