The government on Thursday transferred the chief of the country's aviation regulator without naming a successor.
An order from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) said M. Sathiavathy, Director General of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), has been transferred to the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
It said Sathiavathy would join the new assignment as an officer on special duty with immediate effect.
"The officer would take over as Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, on superannuation of the present incumbent, Shankar Agarwal," said the order by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. The order did not name any successor to head the DGCA.
