An 11-year-old girl died of a snake bite in Andhra Pradesh, while her three-year-old brother is in critical condition.
The snake bit the children when they were asleep late Thursday in their house in Kratiki village of Kurnool district.
The children were rushed to a local hospital and then shifted to a hospital at Kurnool, where Kalpana succumbed. The condition of Ishawr is stated to be critical.
This is the second such incident in Rayalaseema region in less than a week.
A seven-year-old girl and a five-year-old boy died after being bitten by a snake while they were asleep in their house in Uravakonda town of Anantapur district on July 27. Their nine-year-old sister is in a serious condition.
