The toll in last week's massive fire at a poultry processing plant in China's Jilin Province rose to 121 Sunday after one of the victim women died at a hospital, Xinhua reported.
Xu Chunfeng, 43, died in the afternoon in a hospital in the provincial capital city of Changchun. As of Sunday, 26 of the 77 injured people had been discharged from hospitals.
The blaze had occurred at the Jilin Baoyuanfeng Poultry Company in Dehui City last Monday.
Over 300 workers were in the plant when the fire occurred, survivors said. About 100 workers managed to escape from the plant, the gate of which was locked when the fire broke out, they added.
Established in September 2009, Jilin Baoyuanfeng Poultry Company has 1,200 employees and an annual output of 67,000 tonnes of chicken products.
